LENNON: FOOTBALL CAREER IN SUMMARY

English winger Aaron Lennon started his career as a professional footballer at hometown club Leeds United. He made his professional bow at Leeds United in 2003 thus becoming the youngest player to feature in the Premier League at the time.

AaronLennon spent around two years in the Leeds United first team before North London side Tottenham Hotspur paid £1m to secure his signing. At Spurs, Aaron Lennon scored 30 times in 364 games in all competitions and also won the first major honour of his professional football career. He was part of the Tottenham Hotspur team that saw off London rivals Chelsea to win the 2008 League Cup. Spurs beat Chelsea 2-1 win in the final to win the League Cup title in 2008. EVERTON FAIL TO END VILLAHOODOO

Merseyside giants Everton have failed to end their winless run against hosts Aston Villa after they were beaten 2-1 courtesy the goals from Danny Ings and substitute Emiliano Buendia, while Lucas Digne (own goal) was the recipient of the lone Everton goal. Everton failed with the opportunity to pick up their first win of the new Premier League season with the result against Aston Villa this weekend. The two teams met at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon in what’s the first game of the second round of games as far as this season’s Premier League campaign is concerned. Everton were looking for their first win over Villa for the first time in six years. In the end, they could not end their Villa hoodoo.


For their last Premier League win over Villa in 2016, Belgian international RomeluLukaku scored the third and final Everton goal in a 3-1 win away from home.                     BEN MEE DECISION MADE AS BURNLEY FC RELEASE RETAINED LIST

Ben Mee, Aaron Lennon, Phil Bardsley, Dale Stephens and Erik Pieters are among a total of 14 professionals to depart the club upon the conclusion of their contracts at Turf Moor at the end of this month, alongside U23 players Joel Mumbongo, Richard Nartey, Anthony Glennon, Ethen Vaughan, Sam Unwin, Anthony Gomez Mancini, Calen Gallagher-Allison and Harry Allen.


James Tarkowski expressed his desire earlier in the season to seek an opportunity elsewhere when his contract expires, and he will also depart after more than 200 appearances for the Club. Defender Mee played more than 350 times for the Clarets over a ten-year period and his final appearance for the Club came in March against Leicester City. Winger Lennon re-joined the Clarets last August and made 31 appearances last season across all competitions and 87 appearances in total over his two spells in East Lancashire. LENNON SUBBED ON DURING VILLA DRAW

English winger Aaron Lennon was a second half substitute as Burnleyclimb out of the relegation zone thanks to the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa. Aaron Lennon and Burnley are battling to stay in the Premier League this season. They came into the away game against Villa with the knowledge that a draw will take them above relegation rivals Leeds United and out of the relegation zone. The Clarets were able to move from third from bottom to fourth from bottom as a result of the draw with Villa. It must be noted that three teams will suffer demotion from the Premier League to the English Championship.

Aaron Lennon began the Villa game on the substitutes’ bench before he was introduced as a replacement for Dwight McNeil for the final eleven minutes. At the time of his entrance, Burnley and Aston Villa had registered a goal apiece. Ashley Barnes scored the opening goal via a spot kick on the stroke of half-time after Emiliano Buendia fouled Burnley attacker Maxwel Cornet in the box. The penalty goal from Barnes gave Burnley the lead at the end of the first half. LENNON SAYS TOTTENHAM SHOULD BE PATIENT WITH CONTE

While there have been several series of bacjlashws directed at Tottenham Hotspur’s Italian manager Antonio Conte, especially in recent times following their recent troubling performances, the club’s former player, Aaron Lennon, has decided to give him some backing. The London club decides to appoint Conte, a former manager at fellow London club, Chelsea, after they parted ways with former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo following a series of poor performances on the pitch and the decision has been met with mixed reactions ever since.

It was reported that some players at the club believe that Conte’s methods are too rigid and strict to be followed, while a crop of others believe that he has just the right winning mentality they need if they want to get near to any trophies. Striker, Harry Kane, in particular, was quoted as saying as soon as Conte’s appointment was confirmed that it was the best decision made by the club and that it shows how serious they are a out wanting to become a top club.

LENNON SUBBED ON AGAINST HAMMERS

Aaron Lennon came on as a Burnleysubstitute during the Premier League home clash with West Ham United, but he was unable to change the outcome of the game which ended in a stalemate.

West Ham United showed why they are fighting for a top-four spot during the game as they dominated from start to finish and were unlucky to leave without the three points on offer against Burnley who were second best throughout. In the end, the two teams had to settle for a share of the points.

LENNON SAYS SPURS SHOULD HAVE SIGNED BALE PERMANENTLY

English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have had a very strong start to the new season so far and not only has their solid start made them one of the best team in the league so far based on the performance in the opening three games, they are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table and that just goes on to show how very compact and serious they have been so far. However, despite their strong progress and start to the current season as things stand, not everyone is totally satisfied with their summer transfer business. One of those people who aren’t totally convinced about them is their former player Aaron Lennon.

Lennon has carried out an assessment of the current Sours team and has revealed that he believes that his former side should have signed Wales international forward Gareth Bale instead of letting him to return to Real Madrid. Lennon said that Spurs need all the help that they can get this season and it would not have hurt to have Bale as one of their players in the current campaign as well because he would have brought sheer class and experience to the team. LENNON CLAIMS THAT ENGLAND HAVE A HUGE ADVANTAGE

England are currently on a surge and also on a mission to lift the UEFA Euros 2020 and have also been impressive throughout the tournament so far, with many already rooting for them to become the winners of the title already. Not a lot of people would have thought that the Three Lions would even make it up to the semi-final stage of the competition before it started, but they have done pretty well to have even come this close in the first place.

There were great teams like Belgium, Germany, Portugal, France, Croatia, and others that would have been given the nod to go farther than England in the competition but they have all been knocked out already, leaving England as one of the major favorites to be crowned Champions of the competition this summer. While their attackers have been fairly impressive so far, a lot of work has been out in by their defenders in their campaign so far, as they are yet to concede a single goal in the tournament.

LENNON: SPURS JUST HAVE TO KEEP KANE

LENNON OFFERS TO HELP DEPRESSED PLAYERS

Former Burnley midfielder Aaron Lennon has made it clear that he will be more than ready to accommodate and help any football player battling with depression as long as they can open up to him just about anything that is bothering or weighing them down. The former England international football star said he is also ready to receive and help any player who suffers from anxiety or any other mental problem.

Lennon, who is also a former Tottenham Hotspur winger was is famously known to have had several cases of depression in the past, given that he was admitted and detained by police under the Mental Health Act because of a few mental problems he had. He was taken to Salford back in May 2017 where he was attended to and taken care of during the final few months of his Everton career.
